A few weeks back my guy and I escaped to San Diego to the Estancia Hotel & Spa in La Jolla, California, for a much needed quiet weekend alone. Normally, San Diego is off limits for a weekend trip because it is home to many family and friends. This time, we made the decision to keep our excursion to ourselves to avoid having to make everyone else happy with breakfast, lunch and dinner visits. I think we’ll try that ploy again.

We spent that weekend at our own pace, eating, sleeping and slowly drinking in all the sights La Jolla has to offer and what a beautiful site it is!
