My curiosity has been known to get the best of me, which is why it’s not surprising that I want to know and understand the thinking behind the person that made this chair. I want to know the artist’s train of thought. Better yet, I would love to see it in a decor that makes it look good, abstract, but good.
I would have to ask, “So… what were you thinking?”

Do you want to see new product that will be at the High Point Market this fall?
On September 11, 2012, High Point Market (@hpmarketnews) and Décor Mentor (@decormentor) are co-hosting a twitter chat for special previews and information for the upcoming fall event October 13-18. There will also be discussions of up-coming trends and market news. This is more than a month before the market opens!
Each company can submit two photos to be included in this Twitter chat. All product photos will be submitted “on a Sneak Peek pin-board on the High Point Market’s Pinterest page.” The deadline is Sept 6, 2012.
On September 11, 2012 at 6 pm EST and 3pm PST, a collection of the ambassadors top picks will be presented on Twitter with the hashtag @hpmkt. Hope to see you there!

I was recently visited by – Home Designs By Stockings Etc – and while checking out this site I found the post Olympic (Gold) Medallion and was reminded of my adoration for medallions – thanks for the reminder!! I love how some of the most simplest medallions can make the grandest statement. Here are some of my favorites from Houzz. I really like how the designer in the last picture used the medallions outside the box. Hmm… something to think about.

I love how the bottom cushions are juxtaposed together – formal and informal. What a unique perspective. Perhaps then, it’s not surprising why this piece is a finalist for the ASFD Pinnacle Award.
