inI didn’t think I would have children. When I decided that I would, I prepared my lifestyle and finances, got pregnant and had a baby. Just like that. It has been the best decision I have ever made in my life. However, for some, it’s not that easy.
I recently had the privilege of sitting in on a tweet chat for the Tinina Q. Cade Foundation (Cade Foundation). This wonderful, non-profit organization helps families overcome struggles with infertility. The Cade Foundation offers information and support and connects families who have already overcome their infertility battle with families who are still coping with the challenges this condition presents. In addition to connecting families, the Cade Foundation provides financial assistance in the form of grants to help families with the cost of adoption and fertility treatments as well as hosting hundreds of outreach events.
The Cade Foundation holds events throughout the year such as Pathways to Parenthood, which is a handful of symposiums in various states to include many experts. This year, there is a big event – Race for the Family, presented by Shady Grove Infertility, a 5K Run/Walk with a 1 mile Family Fun Run, a playground for kids with fun activities of face painting, arts & crafts, games and a musician and lots more other family events. This foundation is doing such incredible work and it is inspiring to know these foundations are out there!
I have watched someone struggle with infertility from afar and it is heartbreaking to me because I know this woman would be an AMAZING mother. So I wanted to share the Cade Foundation in her honor and hope that maybe at least ONE person, if at least, connects and gets help.

inI love movies. I love to escape the thoughts and worries that cloud my head all the time. When I watch a movie I get to focus on something else and it helps my overactive brain to shut up and give me a break. So when the Oscars come up, it gives me an opportunity to see some of these extraordinary actors, who helped quiet my mind, in a different element.
Last night’s Oscars show was especially eventful. Historical. Iconic. It was another mix up in announcing the winner on television and it’s my #MondayMotivation! I’ll bet it’s Steve Harvey’s too! It reminds me nobody’s perfect and all the pictures airbrushed in those magazines and the moments edited in those movies to appear perfect, they’re not.
As Alexander Pope stated, “To err is humane…” and it doesn’t get any more human than this
NOW – Let’s talk about the fashion – Who was your favorite?!?
Mine – Emma Stone
And she WON! Congratulations Emma Stone!
