Bed-up, located in Paris, France, designs the bed above. This bed rises to the ceiling thus revealing a living space beneath it. It’s ingenious, isn’t it? I absolutely love it! This kind of stuff is right up my alley. I just wish I could have had something like this when I was first starting out in my studio apartment.
The next five images are kid friendly and imaginative – love these for my boy.
The next three images showcase a bunk-bed that is my favorite. It is the Lollipop Bunk-bed by Bonbon. Although, the first bed posted above (from Bed-up) is amazing, the bed below is probably something anyone can do in their home. This hide-away bunk-bed is sleek, space-saving and sophisticated – a designer’s dream combination.

In the December issue of Architectual Digest Brad Pitt debuts his furniture design. Now – for the record – there is no doubt Mr. Pitt knows what he’s doing when it comes to design and architecture due in part to his largely successful and very awesome Make It Right foundation. He is a man with a lot of ideas, dreams, and money and that combination is likely to make anyone a success.
However, when it comes to furniture design it might be a different story. Is this furniture design or is it furniture art? I think it’s furniture art design. It’s more like art, in that it’s kind of like a sculpture. Especially, given the fact that each piece is a limited edition and signed by Pitt and Pollaro.
What do you think?

This table reminded me of a previous Wednesday post I did a few weeks back. Remember these chairs? I wondered if the table was from the same designer so off I went to do a little research and what I discovered was truly surprising.
Graft, is an architectural studio that likes to think outside the box! Inspiration for this table was none other than the iconic Marilyn Monroe picture in her windblown white dress. After more research on the website of Graft I fell in love with their philosophy. Also – whoever quotes Yoda is just plain cool!
“You must unlearn what you have learned.” – Yoda

Thinking “outside the box.” I love it.
