I LOVED how she worked social media and brought Twitter the most epic selfie of all time, now holding the all-time record for most retweets!

– My best dressed –

Kate Hudson! AH-mazing and it wasn’t only the dress. There was something beautifully eye-catching about her eyes, flawless make-up and perfect hair.

Hands down – home run!

Sandra Bullock – the blue was gorgeous and I can only imagine what it looked like in person. She always looks great and her grace is extraordinary!

Julia Roberts – I didn’t hear much chatter about her dress, but I loved it. I loved how she knew she wasn’t the Belle of the Ball and being that she has settled into a life of children and family, I felt her dress was beautiful and appropriate.

…and although I love, love, love Mr. Matthew McConaughey and his lovely lady Camilla Alves this picture of Jason Sudeikis taking a picture of his lady Olivia Wilde won my heart for bestest couple!

My Mediterranean Boboli ~ YUM!

My husband makes a BBQ Chicken Boboli that’s really good. However, that’s the ONLY kind of Boboli he makes and we’ve been together 15 years so you do the math. Last night was Boboli night and I decided to mix it up a bit. This led me to think of something different and now that I’m actually documenting my little experiments on this here blog I thought I would give this a shot and it worked!

Mediterranean Boboli

1 Boboli
1 small container of Sabra Classic Hummus
1 small tomato
1 tbsp feta cheese
6 Kalamata Olives
1 lemon

Preheat oven to 415 degrees. Spread hummus on Boboli, sprinkle with chopped tomatoes, chopped olives and feta cheese. Bake for 12 – 15 minutes on cooking tray and another 3 – 5 minutes on the rack for more crisp. Remove from the oven and let cool for about 5 minutes. Drizzle with lemon.

I used feta cheese with a tomato and basil accent and sprinkled a dab of my husband’s pizza cheese over the top because it was right there. I probably didn’t need the pizza cheese, but I’m a pizza gal and couldn’t help myself.

I cannot wait to try some grilled chicken on this next!

Valentine Baking

Join me in my novice attempt to bake red heart-shaped cupcakes. Remember when I posted that I was going to make heart shaped cakes? Here they are!

First ~ tell me what it is about Pinterest that makes me feel like I want to be, and could be, the best baker, the best seamstress, the best make-up artist, and so forth and so on. Secondly, the cakes didn’t come out red they came out pink. Live and learn. I’ll know for next time. Remember, I said novice… although isn’t that what it’s all about? Mama always said, “You’ll never know until you try!”

First the cookies…

I had this cookie ready for the little guy when I picked him up from school to which he promptly groaned and said, “Not another cookie.”
